Paul Starkman is an Emmy-nominated Brooklyn-based director. Starkman, a ’98 graduate of the AFI Cinematography program, began his career as a Cinematographer on documentary features. His camera work helped bring JAM the SXSW documentary Grand Jury Prize in 2006.  Paul quickly worked his way up from operator on MTV’s The Real World to DP of America’s Next Top Model. In 2006 Paul began shooting finales for Project Runway and was soon directing for the program, which led to his first Emmy nomination. He joined Bravo’s Top Chef, earning several more Emmy nods. In 2007 Paul wrote and directed The Tree, a short film that told the story of one man looking for shade on the streets of his hometown, Brooklyn, NY. Numerous other credits include The Glee Project 2 and Spike TV’s hit, Ink Master. Paul looks forward to directing his first feature film, WHEELS, in 2016.

Excited to announce my first feature film WHEELS is live on Kickstarter!
